What have we done? Correction… What has she done to us?

We didn’t need an election. Mrs May herself told us so on numerous elections. Suddenly, for what seem to be reasons to serve her own purpose, we got one. We got told it was all for the good of the country but what she really asked for was for us to “strengthen my hand” for the Brexit talks.

Talking about Brexit, we have since the early hours of 24th June 2016 been made to believe there was a decisive vote to leave the European Union. It was a vote to leave with a margin that was within the margin of error of most opinion polls. That, in most people’s book, was tight.

Anyway, we are where are and there is ‘the law of unintended consequences’ to thank for:

Labour getting stuck with Jeremy Corbyn – how do you get rid of someone who delivers your highest share of the popular vote since 2010?

Nicola Sturgeon probably becoming less strident in seeking the breakup of the United Kingdom – the surge of ‘unionist’ parties might just have put ‘IndyRef2’ firmly on a shelf somewhere.

But the outcome that adds issues to the uncertainty already out there since that Brexit vote is the stability of our government. We know what she said we should go for but we now know what we have got:

Strong and Stable? Nope!!! It’s hung and feeble…
